Look it's a Sim. No, it's an RPG!
When we think of role-playing games, we normally think of wizards of fantasy worlds from long ago casting spells of infinite power against a force of demons who have come to ransack the castles of the elven people neatly orchestrated with a top-down 2D interface while travelling from dungeon to city. But can an RPG take another form? Can an RPG, instead of clicking and spellbook access, substitute a complex starship combat simulator, a first person shooter, or a fighter-sim in its place?
It would appear that the answer to that question is "yes." For followers of the Battlecruiser series, the concept of flying around a given universe should be in no way alien, but even for previous fans of the series, you've never seen it quite like this. For new-comers to this series, you're in for quite a treat.
Battlecruiser Millennium features four entirely different play styles in multiple environments which can be hybridized into a single campaign. You can be a marine with some nice sci-fi weapons, and an armored vehicle to roam around from base to base in, you can play as a space marine who drifts around space to fight other vessels, or you can be a fighter pilot who flies around in planetary atmospheres eliminating enemy fighters. Finally, as the name suggests, you'll be able to command your own battlecruiser or carrier including every one of its dozens of systems.
