The Land of the Free...or the Oppressed

There is a very extensive range of buildings that may be built (and most of which have several modes for several purposes, effectively making it several different buildings you can build.) Each person has a completely unique personality, so you must treat every person in the game as a real one, they will all have different wants and needs. Balancing the soldiers also proves to be quite the challenge. They must be kept loyal if you don't want a rebellion on your hands, so keeping them happy can be quite the trick (they know they can get more from you.)

Pleasing tourists can also be quite the challenge, though, as they will be picky where they spend their money. If you have a highly polluted environment, or if the tourist section is within viewing range of your little shanty town you'll be in for a major loss in profits. Need to build an airport? Prepare to spend a LOT of time doing so. Luxury Hotels? Not if you don't have a lot of luxury activities!

But what about the communist approach? Fine, build your factories to the skies and have logging camps all over, but when your island becomes uglier than anything else in the Carribbean and no tourists come to feed your economy, you'd better be paying your employees both your legs, or they'll never work in such a polluted place again.
