Prepare to be Sacrificed

Every once in awhile there is a game that comes along and changes the entire industry forever. Such games are rare, and have come in many forms. First there was DOOM which told us that 3D can be done, there was Quake which told us that real 3D can be done. Total Annihilation taught us that strategy games should be tactical as well as strategic. Half-life taught us that games with storylines can work, and it makes the game more immersive.

The beauty of Elysium
Guardian by laser?
Crash and burn!
Here, let me take that off your hands

Sacrifice promises to be just that game. Giving an entirely new experience in gaming, and something so new it's difficult to describe, it certainly carves a place for itself in history, and a difficult time for reviewers. Perhaps the best way to describe it is "fun". When I initially heard of the game, I was half-expecting it to be a multiplayer only game. The description on the games website did nothing to discourage that opinion. Obviously, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it also had an extensive campaign as well...

Soul conversion or Michael Jackson entrance?
Ten-foot man eating plants...
Want a light?
So it IS flat!
