Born to be Wild
While the game features "quick races" as well, the DucatiLife "campaign" mode is really the heart of the game. When you begin a new round in DucatiLife, you start out with nothing but yourself and $10,000. Sounds good, doesn't it? That smile will quickly be wiped off your face when you realize that it will only buy you the most rudimentary of bikes, the modern City class Monster bike, and no gear. What's worse is that you can only enter the first race circuit, for a small amount of money, on your newly purchased bike.
What to do? Try to get some licenses. The license test (ranging from Basic I to Advanced) actually acts as a sort of tutorial and training exercise. Each of the licenses you may obtain has several tracks and tests you must complete to get the license. Not only will the license allow you to enter more races for more money, but you also gain the extra training from earning them, and will be much more likely to succeed in the races.
After you've played through all the license missions, it's time to buy some gear (leathers and a helmet, if you can afford them), and head out on the race track. Now you can pick from any of the courses you have a license for, though be warned that they get far more difficult as they extend up the ladder, to the point where, if you make a single mistake, you're finished.
