The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind in Spring 2002

October 12, 2001 - Rockville, MD - Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, announced today that the highly anticipated role-playing game The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind™ will be released in Spring 2002. Custom designed for both PC CD-ROM and the Xbox™ video game system from Microsoft, the title offers unequaled graphics, hours of engrossing gameplay, an epic tale of adventure and intrigue, as well as a unique game editor that allows PC players to customize and share the title's immersive experience with others.

Morrowind is the sequel to Bethesda's award-winning titles Arena and Daggerfall, regarded as two of the most intricate and compelling role-playing games ever released. The company has captured the best of previous Elder Scrolls games in creating Morrowind, combining the elements that have made the series a classic among core gamers with the latest in 3D graphics and AI technology.

"The development team is grateful for the fans' tremendous interest in the game and the series as a whole. We look forward to shipping a product that truly pushes the envelope in terms of the breadth of gameplay and stunning 3D graphics," said Vlatko Andonov, President, Bethesda Softworks.
