October 12, 2001 - Rockville, MD - Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media
company, announced today that the highly anticipated role-playing game The
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind™ will be released in Spring 2002. Custom
designed for both PC CD-ROM and the Xbox™ video game system from Microsoft,
the title offers unequaled graphics, hours of engrossing gameplay, an epic

previous Elder Scrolls games in creating Morrowind, combining the elements
that have made the series a classic among core gamers with the latest in 3D
graphics and AI technology.
"The development team is grateful for the fans' tremendous interest in the

truly pushes the envelope in terms of the breadth of gameplay and stunning
3D graphics," said Vlatko Andonov, President, Bethesda Softworks.
