Prepare for a Cold Winter

Icewind Dale was a unique concept in the Dungeons and Dragons universe. It took the well known environment of Faerun, and placed it in a more action packed ARPG setting, as opposed to its more common RPG style gameplay. The environments were just as diverse as any full RPG, and it was most definitely an instant classic. But after the release of Baldur's Gate II, the game began to look outdated--a relic of Baldur's Gate technology that was caught between two game eras. This is where Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter comes into play. It is more than just an expansion pack, it's like an entirely new game!
