Irvine, California, September 1, 2000 - Shiny Entertainment, a subsidiary of Interplay Entertainment Corp. (NASDAQ:IPLY) announced today a public beta-test program for their upcoming strategic action game SacrificeTM. Applications for the beta test program can be submitted by visiting the Sacrifice website, www.sacrifice.net , and will be accepted until September 10, 2000, 5:00 p.m. PST. "The Goal of this beta test program is to gain the input and feedback from the testers." Says David Perry, President of Shiny Entertainment, "The creative feedback derived from 1000 gamers will be key in helping Shiny fine tune Sacrifice with the ultimate goal being to make changes in the game so that it plays perfectly and is everything consumers expected and more." Shiny knows that beta test programs play an important role in the completion of games such as Sacrifice. Not only will beta testers be in direct contact with the Sacrifice team throughout the testing period, their names will also be included in the credits section of the game. Prizes will be awarded to the "top testers" who provide the Sacrifice team with the best feedback and to those who submit crucial bug reports

"Sacrifice is a truly epic adventure that will blur the lines between multiple genres," stated the President of Shiny, David Perry. "Gamers will absolutely be blown away by the look and feel of this title. It's a multi-player's dream come true." Sacrifice is set in a fantasy world controlled by five gods with different spells and creatures to reward the ambitious Wizard. Spells range from simple projectile explosives & bare-fisted grunts to world deforming volcanoes & storm-spitting flying abominations. Sacrifice also features a powerful set of single-player campaigns with a story that is as different as the game
